She gasped as she looked around the bed-chamber. Her eyes on the candles lit and on the rose petals that led her to where he stood.

“Happy anniversary, my darling.”

Alexander followed the petals and walked all the way to her. She kept looking at him until he got close to her.

“Oh Alexander, this is so beautiful.”

​

“You deserve even more,” he kissed her then, allowing his hands to caress her cheeks as he did so. Every time he kissed her, it felt like the first time in the garden of Almack House under the moonlight.

“I wanted us to make love here, before the petals and the candle lights.”

​

Olivia kept looking at the candle lights in awe. “They are so many.”

​

Alexander grinned. “Three hundred and sixty-five candles.”

​

Olivia gasped. Alexander chuckled. Phillip had told him it was an outrageous idea. But Alexander needed Olivia to see what he saw.

“Three hundred and sixty-five candle lights as a symbol of the days we have spent together, and how many days you have made me see nothing but light. Look around, Olivia. How many are lit? “

Olivia did as he asked. She was still in his arms as she did this.

“All of them are lit,” she replied.

​

Alexander kissed her again. “Yes, because that is how many times you make me grateful.”

She kissed him this time. She kissed him deeply, letting her lips devour his. She pulled away and placed her forehead against his.

“There is something I have to tell you.”

“Do tell,” Alexander replied. He pulled the pin from her hair, allowing it to fall. She giggled.

“Allow me to focus, you.”

​

He kissed her again. “Go ahead.”

​

She blushed and cast her gaze down. “I am with child.”

​

Alexander froze. His hands froze on her waist. He blinked. He did not know how to react, but he was overjoyed. He scooped her up in his arms, a smile on his face. “Does anywhere hurt? “

She chuckled. “I am fine. I said that I am with child, not a virus, you silly thing.”

“Oh, my darling,” he murmured and began to place kisses all over her face. He kissed every inch of her face, making her giggle

“Alexander!”

“I am overjoyed by this news. I love you, and I cannot wait for our child to be born.”

​

He stared into her eyes. His eyes searched hers. He kissed her again, unable to contain his joy. He carried her to the bed and laid her down gently. Then very slowly, he placed kisses all over her face and made his way down to her neck. She giggled all the way.

When he looked up at her, she seemed to be glowing under the candlelight, and she looked so beautiful. He kissed her until he got to her stomach. He looked up at her.

​

“I am so happy about this. I cannot wait for us to have this babe in our lives.”

Olivia smiled. “I cannot wait as well.”

​

“I love you,” he whispered.

​

“I love you as well,” Olivia said and batted her eyelashes. “Make love to me, Alexander. Let us be one before there is another.”

​

 Alexander chuckled. He rose and began to kiss her neck. She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck as he pleasured her. Alexander could not wait to see what beauties the future held, for in his arms laid everything that he could ever ask for.
